  • Absence from the school without leave is not tolerated except when the cause is sudden illness or unforeseen circumstances in which case the information must be given at the earliest.

  • A student should have at least 80% attendance during the Academic year, in order to appear for the Annual Examinations.

  • The reasons for a student’s absence must be entered briefly in the ‘Leave Register’ of the student’s School Diary. Reasons for private nature may always be submitted in a letter.

  • Any student who is absent for 5 consecutive working days must produce a doctor's prescription along with the letter of absence.

  • Any uninformed absence from school for more than 15 calendar days will lead to automatic removal of student from the rolls.  

  • Once a student’s name has been struck of from the school rolls, he/she may be readmitted to school if the Principal approves the leave of absence given by the guardian/parent of the student and upon payment of admission fees.

  • Leave for religious ceremonies or special occasions must be obtained beforehand. However no consideration can be made for examination and tests.

  • Leave of absence for reasons as birthdays, excursions, festivals, wedding, time to study for an examination, is not considered sufficient.

  • A leave granted must be recorded in the ‘Leave Register’ of a student’s School Diary.

  • Early Departure: It is availed when there is an emergency at home or when a student gets sick in the school. It is not granted to those who come from home sick.

  • In case a child fall sick/meets with any accident in the school premises he/she will be provide first aid only. The parents will be informed and are expected to come and attend immediately. It is important to give the correct contact numbers on time, especially when there is a change.

  • Late arrival to school is a breach of discipline. A student who comes late to school must enter the date and time of arrival into the ‘Late Coming Record’ of the School Diary.

  • Consecutive/ habitual late arrivals will result in Parents being called to the Principal’s office.

  • The school may send a student back home during school hours if he/she fails to produce a letter giving reasons for his absence or delay.

  • It is mandatory for a student to attend the school on Examination days. In case of sickness/eventualities the matter must be notified to the Principal/Class Teacher with relevant documents.
